“Vere dere is desiry der is gonna be fleme~ Vere dere is fleme, someone's bound to get burned…” Tobias mumbled something under his breath. He shook his head to the music, rhythmically tapping his pencil on the blank page of his notebook.
He left serifs on the page. Shorty. Catchy. And only looking closely, one could notice that the serifs are notes. The melody that the musician listened lays down on the sheet.
And in time with the shaking of his head, the white cord of his old-fashioned headphones dangled from side to side with it.
“But just beecuse it burns, doesn't mean youde gonna die! Yu've gotte get up and dry, and dry, and dry… gotte get up and dry, and dry, and dry… Yu gotte get up and dry, and dry, and dry!” to the youth's left hand, a cloaked figure tried to catch the swaying white cord with her fingertips. She stretched and twitched. She tried to pick up the cord with her claw, like a cat. She hissed softly as Tobias jerked his head to the side once again and the cord slipped from her grasp.
Dolly was terribly bored during the flight! She was kinda interested in the first couple of hours: when she helped Heathen to make up his face! Or when she helped him don the stylized armor. Or when she played with the fur collar of his raincoat. But all this quickly bored her. And now, the cloaked figure (which Toby had asked not to “change” on the ship) was wrapped in a cloak and languished with idleness.
“Don't be upset. We'll be dere soon, I promise” he turned to the girl, pulling one earpiece out of his ear.
“So-o-on…” murmured Dolly “soon, uh, soon it's good. Veru we-e-ell”
Small flickering dots flashed on the featureless head, folding into a semblance of a smile in place of Dolly's "mouth".
“Yu`re such cutie! Specialy ven yu smile” conversations with each other covered most of their journey to Siberia.
